Water enthusiasts will
be in heaven at Jean-Michel
Cousteau Fiji Islands
Resort, where
warm, clear water tempt both above and below the waves.
Divers of all skill levels will delight in the award-winning
facilities at the resort, which is the "World's Best for
Diving," according to Harpers Abroad. (January 2003)
Known as the "Soft Coral Capital of the World," Fiji offers
the largest variety of fish and coral anywhere in the world.
Small reef dwellers and large ocean pelagics (a class of
fish that includes barracuda, tuna, sharks) swim among the
colorful reefs near the resort.
For beginners, our expert dive staff will welcome and guide
you into the underwater world. Expert divers can do their
own thing. We provide PADI (Professional Association of
Diving Instructors) certified courses and Nitrox fills.
L'Aventure, our 37-foot custom-built, enclosed cabin
dive vessel is equipped with the latest GPS plotter, color
depth sounder and radar, catering for 12 divers, individual
gear lockers, a freshwater shower, and complimentary soft
drinks and cookies. It cruises at 16-18 knots. Each morning,
the boat leaves the resort at about 8:30 a.m. and returns
for lunch around 12:30. Full day trips, which are organized
whenever possible, include a picnic lunch and return to the
resort around 4:00 p.m.
L'Aventure Dive Shop has everything you need for an
underwater adventure. Snorkels and fins are provided free of
charge. Choose from an array of wetsuits, tanks, masks, fins
and other accessories. The dive shop is also a great place
to hear what's going on under the waves, from shark
sightings to the latest findings from the monthly reef
check.

Each day of the week
we focus on one special aspect of our resort and share
related activities with our guests:
- Monday (Siga
Moniti) - Day Of The Coral Reef
Join us for a snorkeling trip in the morning, Learn from
the locals how to create fish prints. In the afternoon,
explore the reef with our Marine Biologist, then enjoy an
evening slide show that highlights parts of the coral
reef.
- Tuesday (Siga
Tusiti) - Day Of Fijian Culture
Learn basic Fijian in the morning, then practice your new
language skills during a guided village tour. Dip into
Fijian culture and observe the daily life of a nearby
village.
- Wednesday (Siga
Lotulevu) - Day Of Ecological Awareness
Explore the mangrove seedlings and discover the tropics'
coastal ecosystem.
- Thursday (Siga
Vukelulu) - Day Of The Rain Forest
Join us for a hike through a tropical rainforest and
discover a hidden waterfall, then take a refreshing dip
in a freshwater jungle pool.
- Friday (Siga
Vakaraubuka) - Day Of The Coconut
Join our coconut husking demonstration, followed by a
tasting of fresh coconut juice. Learn how to weave Fijian
fishing baskets and fans from coconut palm
leaves.
- Saturday (Siga
Vakarauwai) - Day Of The Fijian Feast
Visit Savusavu and discover the colorful local market.
Enjoy the hustle and bustle of Saturday morning, the
Fijian's traditional shopping day.
- Sunday (Siga Tabu)
- Day Of The Rest & Relaxation
Wake up in paradise and relax! Stroll along the beach,
take a dip in the pool, discover the lagoon by catamaran
and kayak. Enjoy the sunset from your deck, then watch
the stars come out.

Fiji Family Vacation Bula Club
Kids love Bula Club!
Here children explore and learn about Fijian culture, the
environment and the natural world around them. Children are
delighted with this fun stimulating program. And so are
parents, since Bula Club is complimentary.
Our Philosophy
The goal of Bula Club is for children to better understand
and appreciate the world around them. Through fun and
engaging activities, kids learn how they can conserve and
protect the environment.
Bula Club Buddies and Staff
All children up to the age of 12 are welcome from 9:00am -
9:00pm daily. Nannies and guides provide child-care,
activity programs and company throughout the day. Our
full-time Activities Director plans interesting events for
all children. These include beach combing, flower planting,
fish painting, Fijian arts and crafts, snorkling, reef
walks, crab races, kayaking, picnics, swimming and more.
Our staff is fluent in both English and Fijian.
Passport to Discovery
Each child welcomed to Bula Club receives a blank Bula Club
Passport to Discovery with nine categories of exploration.
After the children participates in several projects, the
child's Passport is stamped. It's a treasured memento of
Bula Club!
Bula Club Facilities
Just a short walk from the main building and guest bures,
the Bula Club grounds feature a kids-only freshwater
swimming pool, jungle gym, slide, sandbox, and an activities
bure for arts & crafts. Other amenities just for kids
include special children's menus and
mealtimes.
